Will you return to give glory to God as one of the ten?

When your need is met, remember to sincerely give glory to God.

Nothing is impossible for God. Are you looking for advice, direction, healing, maybe a new job, house or car? All these things can be supplied to you immediately or during the time. And they will be. Otherwise we would live on the street, have no jobs, be sick all the time, cars would not exist and we would go to the "circle" without guidance.

Matthew 6:8 states "for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." He knows my needs, your needs and my neighbour needs as well.

I always appreciate or I should rather say I am happy when my need is supplied. I enjoy the feeling that something went right or was successfully done. It motivates me, gives me hope and confirms that the brighter times also exist.

But, I should not forget about something - to give God glory and thanks. This is a primary function of a person. On the other hand, it is so neglected. I would say 10% of people give thanks and glory to God for what they have received and 90% just go their way. I worked hard for it so I deserve it, that may be true statement, it still does not excuse you from giving God glory and thanks. Because everything works the way you want and God blesses you, you have greater responsibility to give something back to your Creator. You do not believe me? Let me tell you a real story that was recorded for us.

"And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole." (Luke 17:11-19)

Lepers were separated from other people. They lived in specific places outside of the villages or cities. They did not have a "normal life", but were hoping to recover from a chronic infectious disease, that affects the skin and the peripheral nerves. They were isolated and lived in their own closed world. Think about it for a moment, their only escape from the isolated place was to be healed.

All ten were healed by the God Almighty, but only one returned to Jesus. Please look at leper action. He went as he was told and was healed, turned back, glorified God with a loud voice and fell down on his face at Jesus' feet. He understood what happened. The rest nine healed lepers went their way with their needs supplied. They were happy and probably busy thinking what just happened or what they were going to do. Maybe they returned later, maybe not, but for sure the only one was made whole.

No matter how small the blessing, it is our duty to always give glory and thanks to God. He can supply all our needs at every moment. Please do not forget it and be like the one who returned.
