What is the meaning of trust and what does believe have to do with it?

Proverbs 3:5 says "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding."

Trust can be defined as to believe. We can define to believe as to trust or put the trust. As you can see, both words are very closely related to each other. So what's the difference?

Trust means putting believe into action.
