One of life's precious commodities

There is something of much greater value than silver or gold. Its worth is far above diamonds or pearls. Though it isn't tangible, it is one of life's most precious commodities. The everyday loss of it, produces an effect that can be seen, thereby proving its existence. It's one of God's greatest gifts to man. His mercy allows it and his grace makes use of it.

What is it? Solomon said it best in Ecclesiastes 9:11,

"...but time and chance happeneth them all."

God has given his supreme creation, mankind, time and chance. Without time and chance the cross of Christ would have been in vain and heaven would have no future inhabitants. The tender mercies of God has spared us long enough to hear the blessed hope of gospel.

God is unaffected by time; He never ages. He always was and always will be, but man is appointed to die, for the wages of sin is death. Time has a very dire affect upon us, but God is so merciful, sparing us a little time and chance. We must use it because we are losing it.

Every moment is precious for life is but a vapor. Our soul will live in eternity somewhere but what we do with the time and chance God has given us will determine where that somewhere will be! For no mortal man can turn back the hands of time; we cannot buy it back, it is priceless!

How are you using life's most precious commodity? Don't keep procrastinating your soul's need of God, because one day your time will run out. There will be no do overs, no mulligans. Use what God gave you, for,

"... now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)
