Reminder of what awaits me in the future.

One of the many beautiful things about living for God is that I know a little bit about what to expect in my future. Sure, I don't know every little detail but the Bible does tell me what the future holds for the righteous and the unrighteous. I know Jesus is soon to return for his church, in spite of the mockers and scoffers.

I know there are blessings in this life or cursing, depending how I live. There will be eternal punishment for the ungodly and eternal reward for the righteous. With a perfect prophetic track record like the Bible has, you can expect it to be just like it says! The Bible is even an example book and serves as a reminder of what awaits me in the future.

We are especially blessed to live in this dispensation, being able to look back over the history of God's dealings with man and see the results. The apostle Peter wrote in 2 Peter 2:4-6 about the sinful angels cast out of heaven and the flood of Noah's day, that destroyed the ungodly. Then he mentioned Sodom and Gomorrah, which God destroyed because of their wickedness; after which he makes the statement, "...making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly."

Just in case you don't know the Bible very well let me clarify some things. Homosexuality and lesbianism are an abomination. Abortion is murder, which is sin, but so lying, stealing, cheating, cursing, fornication and adultery.

Check out the Bible that you walk to church with and look at the examples. See what happened to the people that did these things. Some believe the acceptance of these sins will improve society. No, it won't, it will curse and destroy society. Just look at the historic examples in the Bible, we know what is coming.
